What wedding collections are available, and how much do they cost?
I offer three thoughtfully curated collections — one designed for elopements and intimate celebrations, alongside 6-hour and full-day 10-hour wedding coverage options. My wedding collections begin at $3,680 incl. GST.
How do we secure our wedding date?
Once you’re ready to move forward, your date is officially secured with a signed contract and a 30% deposit. From there, we can begin planning all the beautiful details together.
Do you travel for weddings and what are your fees?
Absolutely — I am a New Zealand–based destination wedding photographer and love capturing celebrations across Aotearoa and beyond. Travel within Queenstown is included in all collections. For weddings outside of this region, travel fees vary depending on location and are outlined clearly within my pricing guide. I regularly travel throughout New Zealand and am always happy to provide a personalised quote for celebrations further afield, including international weddings.
How would you describe your photography style?
My approach is documentary-led and refined with a subtle editorial influence. I focus on capturing your day honestly as it unfolds — preserving meaningful moments, natural emotion, and all the thoughtful details that make your celebration uniquely yours, while also creating beautifully composed imagery that feels timeless and elevated.
Do you offer guidance with wedding timelines?
Yes — absolutely. I offer personalised support throughout the planning process, including timeline guidance to help ensure your day flows seamlessly while allowing space for relaxed, meaningful imagery.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes — engagement sessions are a beautiful way for us to connect before the wedding day while capturing this exciting season of your lives. They also help you feel more comfortable in front of the camera before your celebration. My full-day coverage collection comes with a complimentary engagement session.
Do you work with second photographers?
Yes — a second photographer can be added to your collection for additional coverage, more perspectives, and greater flexibility throughout your day.
How will our photos be delivered?
Your images will be delivered in a beautifully curated online gallery, making it easy to download, share, and relive your memories with family and friends.
When will we receive our wedding photos?
You’ll receive a preview gallery within 48 hours of your wedding day and a highlights gallery within three weeks, followed by your full gallery approximately eight weeks later.

The process
Step one: Inquiry
The first step to becoming a By Caitlan couple is to inquire! You'll find a form on the contact page. This is a great opportunity for you to tell me a bit about your wedding and to see if I have your date free.
Step two: Let's connect
We’ll meet over coffee, a drink, or via phone or video call. This is a relaxed opportunity to get to know each other and for you to ask any questions you may have.
Step three: Secure your date
Once you’re ready to move forward, your date is confirmed with a signed contract and 30% retainer.
Step four: Planning & guidance
In the lead-up to your wedding, we’ll connect again to walk through the details of your day. I’ll offer timeline guidance and thoughtful support to ensure everything flows seamlessly.
Step five: Your wedding day
The day you’ve been dreaming of — I’ll be there to document it all, honestly and beautifully.
Step six: A first glimpse
Within 48 hours, you’ll receive a curated preview gallery to relive those first magical moments.
Step seven: Your full gallery
Within eight weeks, your complete gallery will be delivered. Pour your favourite drinks, settle in together, and experience your day all over again.
Step eight: Share the love
Share your images with friends and family, tag me on social media, and if you feel called to, leave a Google review — it truly means the world to my small business.
