Every By Caitlan Elopement starts with photography, then you simply add as much — or as little — as you need. From a celebrant and flowers to a helicopter, you just let me know and I'll take care of booking and coordination. It's my job to help you create an elopement that feels uniquely yours.

By Caitlan Elopements start at $2350, with most couples investing between $5000 and $15,000 for bespoke experiences.

Can you plan our entire elopement for us?

Yes! I can touch base with you throughout the entire process about design. You can send me a vision board when we start working together, or you can hand full creative control over to me.

Can we book photography without an elopement package?

Absolutely! You can hire me just as your photographer if you already have the details sorted for your elopement.

How far in advance should we book our elopement?

Simple elopements can be booked and arranged a week out, but booking as early as possible will give you a greater choice of vendors, dates and experiences.

How much does it cost to elope in Queenstown or Wanaka?

By Caitlan Elopement packages start at $2350, with most couples investing between $5000 and $15,000. Helicopter and premium experiences can significantly increase the cost.

Can you organise a helicopter for our elopement?

I sure can! Most couples opt to be whisked up to the mountains for their ceremony and portraits. I don't blame them - the views are unreal.

Do we have to book a helicopter for our elopement?

Definitely not! Queenstown, Wanaka and the surrounding areas have so many beautiful ground locations to choose from. Think Jack's Point, Moke Lake, Coronet Peak, Twelve Mile Delta, Lake Wakatipu and Lake Wanaka.

Do we need witnesses?

Yes! To be legally married in New Zealand, you need two witnesses. I can help you arrange witnesses, if required.

Can we legally get married in New Zealand if we live overseas?

You can – you don't have to be a New Zealand resident or citizen to be married here, but you will still need to meet New Zealand's legal requirements, including obtaining a marriage licence and using an authorised marriage celebrant. Your celebrant will help you make sure everything is above board.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Don't worry! I will develop a wet weather contingency plan with you to ensure your elopement is perfect no matter the weather.

Can we bring guests to our elopement?

This can definitely be discussed and planned for. One thing to note is that some costs will increase depending on the headcount. For example, larger or multiple helicopters and more food.
